What’s really sad is I remember the song. The station used updated variations of this for ten or fifteen years, although they never strayed too far from the Burt Bacharach feel this version has. Catchy does not equal good.
Interesting side note: Dorothy Fuldheim (the older redhead in the video) was the first female commentator for ABC Radio, and interviewed both Hitler and Mussolini either before or during World War 2 (conflicting info on that, and too bad she didn’t get Hirohito for the hat trick). She was also the first woman in the US to anchor a TV news show. Her TV career ended in 1984 at the age of 91, when she had a stroke on the air. She died five years later.
